Donating appreciated stocks that you have held for more than a year may provide benefits for BorderLight and for you, such as:
- BorderLight can receive the full benefit of the appreciated stock's current market value.
- You, as the donor, may be able to avoid capital gains taxes on the appreciation.
- If you itemize deductions on your taxes, you may be able to write off the fair market value of the stock.
- The donation may help push you over the itemization threshold.

1.) Fill out the form below to start the donation process. Don't worry - we will only contact you in response to this donation and will not spam you or sell your contact data.
2.) Look for an email or call from Carnegie Investment Counsel. Their registered advisors will walk you through the donation process or can work with your financial advisor to facilitate the donation. You do not have to be a client of Carnegie Investment Counsel to make a donation of stock.
3.) You will get a receipt upon transfer of the stocks.
